Gorilla Tracking in Uganda and Rwanda
Uganda Gorilla Tracking Tour for 7 days:
First day:
A spectacular view of Lake Kabarole. Reach Entebbe International airport. There you will be welcomed by our staff from Abacus who will take you to your hotel. Start on the city tour and go to outstanding places such as; Namugongo martyrs shrine, Bahai temple, Uganda Museum, Makerere University, Kasubi tombs, Iteso cultural dance close to Kasubi, Namirembe and Rubaga Cathedral.
Kabaka?s lake, shopping arcades in town and craft shops including National Theatre. Dinner and overnight will be at your Hotel of good standing.
Second Day:
Early morning head towards the west head towards the west from Kampala and make a stop over at the equator where you will have photographs. Continue to Bwindi through Maramagambo and Ishaka sector following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for the biggest journey. As you drive along the road by way of Ishaka sector, animals like the waterbucks, elephants, antelopes, buffalo, kobs, can be viewed on the road. Relax near the camp. Dinner and overnight will be at the luxurious Gorilla Resort Camp (High-end), lake Kitandara Camp (mid range)/ basic Buhoma community Bandas.
Third Day: Gorilla tracking in Uganda
A breast-feeding gorilla in Bwindi national Park.
There is an entry into a gorilla sanctuary early morning. The rainforest is spectacular as it provides a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape criss-crossed by many animal trails, enabling access for visitors.Gorilla Tour Registered mammals here include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephants, black fronted duikers. Bush bucks, leopards, giant forest hogs plus other animals. This part is famous for the attracting gorillas, where the time spent and terrain changes depending on the movements of these wonderful primates. The thrill of spending time with plus viewing these gentle giant gorillas is uncommon, moving awesome and exciting adventure which will leave you with long time memories of a truly unique experience. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animal and it is an everlasting experience to see and take photos of them as they interact with other. Dinner plus overnight will be at the camp.
Fourth Day:
After having breakfast, drive to Kisoro and traverse the border of Rwanda to Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight will b at mountain gorilla Nest or Kinigi guest House.
Fifth Day:
The guide will brief you very early at Ruhengeri park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes. The searching starts at 9:00 am in the morning. The time taken trekking is determined by the movement of these marvellous giants. After the trek, set back to Uganda. At Kabale white House Inn, you will have dinner and an overnight.
Sixth Day:
After having an early breakfast, you will set to Lake Mburo National park and enter via the Nshara Gate. The afternoon game drive will take you along the lakeshore track, and with its own system of game trails and cleared walkways,, the ?Kigambara Loop? provides interesting guided lakeside walks. Here you can meet groups of zebra, cape buffalo and eland, and pribi and topi are easy to approach. Along with the game drive, a number of tourists also enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo and self-guided nature trails. Those who like looking at birds will enjoy over 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including papyrus Gonolets, Brown-faced lapwings, carruther?s asticolas, the unique white winged warbler and Bare-faced Go-way bird. After the activities in the park, set to Masaka and you will have the dinner plus a night stay at Brovad Hotel.
Seventh Day:
After early breakfast, proceed to Uganda?s capital and reach there early enough and have lunch, while driving back to Kampala you make a stop over at the Mpigi Royal Drum makers. At this place you will be able to see the ceremonial drums being made using methods passed down from generation to generation. You will also have time to stop at the equator to have photos and you reach Kampala by noon, and be taken to the airport for your flight back home.
