Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

The park is if found in Southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Western rift valley. Bwindi is a habitat for more than 350 endangered mountain Gorillas or scientifically called the Gorilla Berengei Berengei which are quite possibly the awe-inspiring animals to be met in Africa. Also, there are 346 species of birds and more than 200 species of butterflies. Gorilla trekking is the main tourist activity in Bwindi, with four groups presently available everyday for visitors. Mubale group with 10 gorillas and 1 silverback was opened for tourism in the year 1993, Habinyanja group with 18 gorillas, and 2 silverbacks was opened in July 1998. Rusheguru group of 10 members, 1 silverback was ready in July 2002, while Nkuringo group with 19 gorillas and 2 silverbacks was opened for tourism in April 2004. You need to reserve your gorilla permit a few months before your trekking trip. Gorilla tracking in Bwindi can be challenging, hence ensure physical fitness. It begins at 8:30am local time and can last from a few hours to days, depending on the movement of these big apes gorilla.

GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI UGANDA THREE DAYS?

DAY 1: Leaving for Bwindi , Home to the Endangered Apes

Leave Kampala at 8:00 in the morning, go to Western Uganda. A short stop at the Equator gives time for snaps. The journey affords images from the vehicle, of the long-horned Ankole cattle, the rolling hills and the terraced landscapes of the region, and wonderful panoramas, which are part of Kabale district.Gorilla Tour
There is a lunch break en route at lake View Regency Hotel Mbarara. Drive straight to the park and get there late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

DAY 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trek and Wildlife

After an early breakfast very early in the morning and briefing by the guides, go for your gorilla tracking and hiking activity in the forests of Bwindi. Gorilla tracking can be effort requiring, you will therefore need to go along with a packed lunch, drinking water, put on comfortable boots or jungle shoes convenient for steep muddy slopes, wear ear plugs in case you do not feel comfortable with jungle sounds, and carry a rain jacket. Walking sticks will be made available for those that need one, by the park rangers. Dinner and overnight at gorilla safari lodge.

DAY 3: End of Mountain Gorilla Safari Africa

An early breakfast at the camp prior to setting off to Kampala. On the way, you will have lunch. This Uganda wildlife safari has now ended. You are also encouraged to contribute to the Dian Fossey Foundation or International Gorilla Conservation Fund and so much more so that we conserve the endangered primates including the lowland gorillas, western lowland gorillas and the Mountain gorillas , primates and so much more.
