Primate Watch Safari Uganda, 12 days

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
You will be picked from the airport and take you to the suggested accommodation place in Kampala. If your plane reaches when it is still morning, you are advised to change currency. You can tour some exciting places with the driver or guide helping you. The laces may include; Kasubi tombs, Namugongo martyrs shrine, the Uganda Museum and many more. Dinner and night stay will be at either Speke Hotel or Hotel Africa.

Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park:
After having breakfast, we start the way to Kibale through Mubende, with packed lunch and reach there late afternoon and have a walk on Bigodi swamp to search for various bird species such as the papyrus Gonolek, white-winged warbler, and many others also view plants. Dinner and overnight will be at luxury-Ndali safari lodge Uganda in
Fort Portal or mid-range Rwenzori View Guest House or Basic Kanyanchu ecological site.

Day3: Kibale Forest National Park:
This part is commonly accepted for a best variety and highest number of primates in the Great Lakes region. Here we shall have a nature walk in the tropical rainforest, look for wild chimpanzees with trained guides,. Have lunch in the afternoon and go to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing via the crater lakes region with more than 30 crater lakes to be explored. The place has got a delightful and attracting terrain.
Dinner and overnight at luxury-Mweya safari lodge or Jacana safari lodge or Lake Kitandara Camp or Budget Institute of ecology.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National park (The birder paradise)
Continue early morning to look for lion, elephants, buffalos, Hippos. Hyenas and more wildlife. After lunch at Mweya, start on a walk on a Maramagambo forest touring the bat and the hunter?s cave, view the blue lake, get a close look at numerous bats, the rock pythons and the forest cobras. Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, which joins two lakes, that is; George and Edward. Relax up to dinner and overnight at your suggested accommodation prior. BLD.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National park- To Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast, have a short drive to Kyambura gorge and have a walk in the gorge and Kyambura river, where the game reserve acquires its name. Anticipate different primates , more so chimpanzee of various species, Black and white Colobus monkeys plus other animals such as antelopes, hyenas, lion plus many others in the middle of savannah grassland. This gorge is a habitat for a big number of bird species. Have lunch on the way then you will be taken to Lake Bunyonyi for another scenario, get there in time for evening birding. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Bunyonyi overland camp or Crater Bay cottages.

Day 6: Lake Bunyonyi
We make a ride on Lake Bunyonyi in dug out canoes and after lunch according to one?s choice, take leisure walks, mountain biking or swim, sun-bathe, name your preference. Dinner together with overnight will be at Bushora island camp or Lake Bunyonyi overland camp or Crater Bay cottages

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park:
Travel to Bwindi and reach there at mid morning. Lunch, dinner and overnight will be at Lake Kitandara luxury tented camp or Basic-Buhoma community bandas. Make a choice in the evening for Buhoma village walk at an extra 15 dollar used for each person or relax enjoying the evening until dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park: . Gorilla tracking
Leave Port for the long awaited experience of Gorilla searching in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Gorilla searching is not predictable, it is not easy to approximate how much time you will spend in the jungle; but the journey may consume 2 to 8 hours. Gorilla Tour It all depends on the movement of these great apes. ? The excitement of seeing the gorillas makes it all worthwhile? is what everybody who has participated in the search will be enhanced to say in any circumstances. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Kitandara luxury tented accommodation or Basic- Buhoma community bandas.

Day 9: To Lake Mburo National Park:
After having breakfast, we set to Lake Mburo National Park, where we have an evening game drive tracking apes, buffaloes, waterbucks and not forgetting the eland, which s the largest of all the antelopes found in Uganda. Dinner and overnight will be at luxury. Montana luxury tented camp or drive to Mbarara at Agip Motel or Basic at Rwonyo rest camp at the park headquarters.

Day 10: Lake Mburo National Park:
At daybreak take game drive in the park and later on come back to your accommodation for late breakfast and the boat rides on the lake. Depart for Kampala in the afternoon making a stop over at the Uganda equator fro some photographs and tour to the craft village.
Later, you will be put at your hotel in Kampala for a night stay.

Day 11: Kampala city tour:
After having breakfast, take a trip to Uganda?s capital city, which begins at 0830 hours in the morning after your breakfast and will take you on a visit within and without the greenest city in Africa.

Tour the Bahai temple, the biggest and only religious temple building in its nature in Africa. Bahai temple is a good place for picnic because of its beautiful picnic scenery rightly situated on a hill, which offers you a view of the city.

Then the Uganda Museum, which is a historical feature with lots of colonial, cultural as well as traditional collections, pass via Makerere University, the first and the oldest University in east Africa. Continue to Kasubi tombs, which is the largest crypt in Africa and special burial place for Baganda Kings- the Kabakas. The guide will be glad to tell you a short and interesting history about it.

Proceed to Namirembe cathedral, the first and oldest religious feature, which was built by the European missionaries. Then have lunch at the African village restaurant. Travel to Namugongo shrine, a historical place where the first Ugandan Christians were killed by the orders of a Buganda King-Mwanga. Then pass via the Uganda craft village, make some shopping if you want African art, curving and masks of your choice. Come back to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Departure to Entebbe International Airport:
Depending on the time you are to fly, have an expedition before you are take to the Airport. Make some shopping for remembrance. Pack to your bags and get prepared for the 40 minutes drive to the Airport. Get there before time of the flight and the representative of the company will set off.

Note should be taken that there are two kinds of safaris, some opt for luxury safari (lodges or hotels) and others opt for Budget safaris (camping and simple accommodation).
