It has a round 68 various species of mammals The common ones include zebras, impalas, buffaloes, topis and eland, that feed on plants and leopards plus jackals which are predators. Day one
Early morning, drive towards the west from Kampala and make a stopover at the Equator to have snaps. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori mountain range for much of the journey. On the way, have lunch. A game drive en route may be beneficial with sights of lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, hyenas and a diversity of antelope species. At Mweya safari lodge or at the Institute of Ecology (BLD), is where the night will be spent.
Day two
An early morning game drive in this park, offers very good chances to view lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, cape buffaloes, elephants, defassa water bucks, Uganda kobs, topi and bush bucks together with many others. Have pleasure in the special 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and into Lake Edward after lunch. This trip passes through possibly the highest gathering of hippopotamus and several animals may be viewed drinking at the water?s edge. This launch cruise provides a wonderful platform for photography, watching birds and observing game. The profile bird life is colourful and extremely great with well more than 550 resident species. At Mweya safari lodge or Institute oif Ecology, is where dinner and overnight will be had.
Day three
After a very early breakfast, the first choice, with breakfast parked, go to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking and a number of primates. Then come back for lunch.
The second choice: wake up when the sun is rising, for another game drive to see wildlife. Then come back for breakfast.
After having lunch, go viewing in the crater region. It is really a wonder! Tour the Katwe salt works for a glimpse into traditional salt mining.
At Mweya safari lodge or Institute of Ecology you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day Four
After taking breakfast, set off for Lake Mburo National Park. The park has a diversity of attractions; it is mostly covered by extensive wetlands, rolling grassy hills, seasonal and permanent swamps, wooden savannah, and forests, which keep a diversity of animals and plant species. It is these various ecosystems that make the park to be to be one of the riches in bio diversity, for example zebras, elands and buffaloes. Impalas. Roan antelopes, leopards, hyenas, hippos, bush backs, and klipspringer. The availability of the lake in the park makes it bale to have a boat ride, carry out sport fishing and view the crocodiles, pelicans, shoebill stork, hippos cormorants, fish eagles and many more.
After having lunch, have a boat ride within Lake Mburo and view for yourself the crocodiles, pelicans, hippos, herons and the uncommon shoebill stork. You will have dinner and a night stay at montana tented camp or Rwonyo camp or Agip motel BLD.
Day five
After early breakfast, set off for an early morning game drive which provides a marvellous encounter with the zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, topis, elands, leopards, and a diversity of bird species. After the game drive, set for Kampala with lunch on the way, drive back to Kampala, you will a stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum makers. At this place, you will be able to see the ceremonial drums being made using methods passed on from generation to generation. You will also get time to make a stop at the equator to have photos and you will reach Uganda?s capital city by early evening.
